At the D2 Collective’s “Build a Network You Love” event at Personio, I had the opportunity to share a few effective networking strategies that have shaped my career and my community.
It was a genuine pleasure to make meaningful connections with my co-panelists: Enrique Gaya and Rebecca E. and many other D2 Community members. The panel was brilliantly moderated by Maya Dahan!
Here’s what I’ve learned:
✅ Start where you are. Meaningful connections often begin with the colleagues and peers around you.
✅ Be real, not perfect. I had to learn to share my story and ask for help, especially when I moved to the Netherlands. Vulnerability opened doors I didn’t know existed.
✅ Build a Personal Board of Directors. Your career is your business. Surround yourself with people who challenge, guide, and support you; former co-workers, senior sponsors, global thinkers. Not just mentors, but strategic partners in your growth.
Your network should reflect your ambition and your values. Don’t just build one; build one you love!
