I have a deep need to give my skills and energy to the causes and people I care about, to leave this world even slightly better than I found it. Yes, it costs time, money, and mental bandwidth. I’ve lived the boomerang effect firsthand, and I consistently reap far more than I sow: more energy, more clarity, more purpose.
