There is currently a major backlash against diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. DEI is sometimes unfairly blamed for incidents like a cargo ship hitting Baltimore’s Key Bridge or dismissed as meaningless corporate jargon used to justify hiring underrepresented individuals who lack the necessary experience and qualifications for excellence. However, when implemented correctly, DEI unequivocally disproves both of these claims. During my talk at the Women Tech Global Conference, I shared some evidence-based, practical DEI practices that can yield powerful results for business growth and maximizing talent potential.
